Editorial Policy

How we evaluate products

We focus on details that affect whether a product is actually usable for your project: cut lists, dimensions, skill level, format, price, and refund terms. Where possible, we compare the product against reasonable alternatives, including free options.

Seller claims vs. editorial conclusions

We clearly separate what a seller advertises from what we can independently confirm. Statements sourced from a seller's own sales page are attributed as such (for example, "the seller advertises…" or "according to the sales page…"). We do not present unverified seller claims as our own findings, and we do not claim to have purchased, tested, or personally used a product unless that is genuinely true and stated plainly.

What we don't do

We don't fabricate testimonials, customer reviews, star ratings, purchase counts, conversion statistics, urgency claims, or countdowns. We don't claim a relationship with any brand — endorsement, ownership, or operation — that doesn't genuinely exist, and we disclose the relationships we do have.

Affiliate commissions and editorial independence

Some links on this site are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you purchase through them — see our Affiliate Disclosure. Commissions do not change the criteria we use to evaluate a product or the balance of pros and cons we present.

Corrections and updates

If we learn that something in a guide is inaccurate or outdated, we correct it. Pages include a "last updated" date to reflect when they were last reviewed. If you spot an error, please use our Contact page to let us know.
